Council Keeps Doncaster Cycling

As Doncaster Cycle Festival returns in just a few weeks, we are delighted to again have the support of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in staging this year’s edition.

Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council’s Director of Regeneration and Environment, Peter Dale, said: “It is fantastic to be welcoming Doncaster Cycle Festival back for its fourth year. We are very proud to support this growing event, which this year promises to attract the highest number of riders we have seen so far – over 600 participants are set to battle it out on the streets of Doncaster.

“The Cycle Festival is also an important way to continue Doncaster’s cycling legacy, following on from hosting Stage Two of the Tour de Yorkshire and the finish of the Women’s TDY last year. In partnership with local cycling clubs like Doncaster Wheelers, we are working hard to ensure more people are getting in to cycling and make the most of the opportunities in the borough.

“Best of luck to everyone riding in the Cycle Festival, and I look forward to soaking in the atmosphere created by the crowds of supporters and visitors gathered on the day.”
